Introduction to Nutritional Healing Seminar: GAPS Diet
Gut flora is something we do not think much about. And yet the number of functions the gut flora fulfils is so vital for us that if some day our digestive tract got sterilized we probably would not survive. If a person does not acquire normal balanced gut flora at birth, then the person will not digest and absorb foods properly, developing multiple nutritional deficiencies. And that is what we commonly see in children and adults with learning disabilities, psychiatric problems and allergies. Many of these patients are malnourished. The list of nutritional deficiencies includes some most important nutrients for normal development and function of the child’s brain, immune system and the rest of the body.
That is why Dr. Campbell-McBride has grouped these disorders together and gave them a name: the Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAP Syndrome). The GAPS children and adults can present with symptoms of autism, ADHD, ADD, OCD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, schizophrenia, depression, sleep disorders, allergies, asthma and eczema in any possible combination. These are the patients who fall in the gap in our medical knowledge. Any child or adult with a learning disability, neurological or psychiatric problems should be thoroughly examined for a compromised gut. Re-establishing normal gut flora and treating the digestive system of the patient has to be the number one treatment for these disorders.
This Introduction to Nutritional Healing Seminar will lead you and your loved ones on a healing journey. The six-week seminar will include the following:
1.Introduction to the GAPS Healing Protocol
2.Making Bone Broths
3.Healing with Good Fats
4.Making Yogurt and Kefir
5.Making Fermented Vegetables: Sauerkraut and/or Kim Chi
6.Healing with Gluten Free Alternatives

Sounds too good to be true, right? Believe it or not, there are many established farms out there without successors lined up, and one of them might be the perfect fit for you. But before you go jumping into an established business, you need to know the realities of what it means to run a business that has already been in operation for years, even decades. Besides the steep learning curve and the heightened expectations of your customer base, not to mention those of the retiring owner, there will be inevitable growing pains as you mold the farm to your own vision. But, for those willing to dive in, get dirty and LEARN, the rewards can be great. It’s no less difficult a path than starting from scratch, but if handled well, transitioning can be an incredible growth opportunity for the fledgling farmer, as many retiring owners are willing and able to provide a treasure trove of experience and advice.
